Alfil Patrimonial SOCIMI Concludes the 5th Forum on Education, Economy, and Innovation in Málaga

President and CEO Francisco Gómez delivered the closing remarks, pointing to urban planning bureaucracy and the scarcity of available land as the main obstacles to accessing housing.

Málaga, May 4, 2026. Alfil Patrimonial SOCIMI played a prominent role at the 5th Forum on Education, Economy, and Innovation organized by EL ESPAÑOL in Málaga. This major event brought together more than 40 leading speakers at the Centre Pompidou in Málaga over two days to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.

On the final day of the forum, President and CEO Francisco Gómez delivered the closing address , in which he identified urban planning bureaucracy and the scarcity of available land as the main obstacles to accessing housing, especially for young people.

The interview with Ángel Recio, El Español’s correspondent in Málaga, covered a wide range of topics, including the nearly 75-year history of the Alfil Group and the diverse scope of its operations up to the present day, which is now focused on real estate management. In this regard, the interview highlighted the consolidation of the Alfil Student Residence as well as the student apartments, which currently house 400 students.

The conversation also provided an opportunity to reflect on leadership and the values of a family business. In this regard, Gómez emphasized the importance of social initiatives as an essential way to give back to society a portion of the profits earned.
