In just two years, this analysis forum, launched by Grupo Alfil and coordinated by San Telmo Business School, has brought together the industry’s leading experts
Marbella, June 4, 2026.The Alfil Real Estate Chair at San Telmo Business School held the closing session of the 2025–2026 academic year this week during an event that highlighted the forum’s establishment as a leading platform for academic and business analysis in the real estate sector.
During the opening of the session, Francisco Gómez Palma, Chairman and CEO of Alfil Patrimonial SOCIMI and sponsor of the Chair, reviewed the activities carried out over the past two years, highlighting the prominent position the seminar has achieved on its own. “In just two editions, the Chair has become a platform of interest and a point of reference, a source of professional knowledge, and a space for sharing experiences, generating synergies, and anticipating trends,” he stated.
In this regard, Gómez highlighted the seminar’s foresight in addressing the challenges and opportunities facing the real estate sector. “The evolution of luxury, branded residences, bank and alternative financing, infrastructure, access to housing, taxation, and industrialization are issues that are shaping the future of the sector, and we’ve had the opportunity to analyze them with some of the country’s leading experts,” he noted.
In his remarks, the businessman emphasized his commitment to the Chair and his desire to continue working closely with the academic institution in order to establish itself as a leading academic authority in the analysis of one of the main drivers of the economy
Spanish, contributing knowledge, strategic insight, and a long-term vision to the real estate sector both nationally and internationally. An aspiration that, as Goméz noted, will come to fruition at the start of the next academic year, when “for the first time, the Chair will move to Madrid to host a forum specifically dedicated to the influence of the real estate sector as a cross-cutting force in national economies.”
Throughout the academic year, the Alfil Real Estate Chair has strengthened its Advisory Board by bringing in new companies, thereby fostering an ongoing dialogue between the business world and academia. Real estate developers, construction firms, law firms, consulting firms, financial institutions, and technology companies have actively participated in the various sessions, offering a practical and complementary perspective on market trends.
Given the significance of the conclusions reached, the proposals discussed, and the analyses conducted, the Chair plans to compile the information gathered into a monographic report. The presentation of this report will take place at an institutional event to be held at the Seville campus of San Telmo Business School in September.
