Marbella, Spain - March 25, 2025 - Countdown for the 13th Edition of the Francisco Gómez Reyes Scholarship ProgramScholarship Program, aimed at supporting 30 university students from Marbella with exceptional academic performance and sporting talent.

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility Program, we wish to promote local talent and support the youth of Marbella. This program perpetuates the legacy of Don Francisco Gómez Reyes, founder of Grupo Alfil, by helping the city's students pursue their academic aspirations. Don Francisco was a staunch advocate of the culture of effort, always promoting the importance of hard work, discipline and perseverance as fundamental pillars for success.

Over the last 12 years and with an investment of approximately €1,000,000, more than 600 local students have benefited from the Francisco Gómez Reyes Scholarships.

Eligibility requirements:

• Applicants must have been registered in Marbella for at least the last two years.
• They must have a place reserved in one of the accommodations, apartments or residence, of the Alfil University Residence in the campus of Teatinos (Malaga).
• Must be enrolled or planning to study in Malaga.

Application process:

• The application period opens with the publication of the EVAU exam results and closes on July 31, 2025. 
• Applications, together with the required documentation, must be submitted at Grupo Alfil's main office in Marbella (Av. Ricardo Soriano, 19 7º, Edificio Alfil), from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Required documentation:

• Completed application form (available at Grupo Alfil's office) with personal data, copy of ID card and photograph.
• Academic certification of 2nd year of Bachillerato and results of the EVAU exam.
• For current university students: Academic certification of the last academic year.
• Optional: Brief description of the family's socioeconomic situation and any other relevant information.

Awarding of scholarships:

• Thirty scholarships will be awarded: 25 for academic merit and 5 for athletic achievement.
• The sports scholarships are open to students residing outside of Marbella.
• The scholarships will be awarded in the second half of August.
• Interviews and/or background checks may be conducted.

Scholarship benefits:

• The amount of the scholarship will be deducted from the monthly payment for accommodation in the apartments or Alfil University Residence.
• The scholarships are personal and non-transferable.
• Cannot be combined with other discounts.
• Applicants with outstanding debts with Grupo Alfil will not be eligible.
• Any returned payment will result in revocation of the scholarship.
