Grupo Alfil held today the award ceremony of the thirteenth edition of the Francisco Gómez Reyes Scholarships, a program that recognizes the academic and sporting efforts of 30 young university students from Marbella.

Since 2013, more than 600 students from the municipality have received these scholarships, consolidating Grupo Alfil 's commitment to education, talent and equal opportunities as drivers of social transformation.

The event, held in the Assembly Hall of the Hotel Baviera, brought together the scholarship students with Nieves Gómez Palma, Grupo Alfil's board member, and Francisco Gómez Palma, president of the company, who recalled with his words the philosophy that has guided these scholarships for thirteen years: 'Only by striving to be the best will we become good. And the difference between being good and being excellent lies in that daily effort, in that discipline that cannot be seen, but that marks the path. That is the attitude we are rewarding today'.

In this edition, 25 scholarships have been awarded for academic merit and 5 for sporting achievements, all of them destined to students who will continue their university education in Malaga and who will reside in the Alfil University Residence at the Teatinos campus.

In addition, during the event, Francisco Gómez Palma announced that Grupo Alfil 's social commitment is not limited to scholarships. The company is preparing to launch the Tu Primer Hogar (Your First Home) program , an initiative aimed at helping young people and families to access their first home even without savings, thus helping to address one of today's major social needs.

With this scholarship program and the new social measures, Grupo Alfil reaffirms its commitment to academic excellence, sports and to accompany young people from Marbella in the most decisive stages of their lives.
