Who we are
Alfil Patrimonial Socimi SA is a company of Grupo Alfil. Grupo Alfil was founded as a family business in Marbella in 1952. In its origins it was dedicated to various business activities such as agricultural machinery rental, road construction, transport agency or industrial carpentry.
Some years later, the company entered the film exhibition sector, reaching 42 cinemas all along the coast of Malaga up to Algeciras and in the city of Cordoba. In the mid 60's it entered new sectors such as the hotel industry and real estate development. In the 70's, with the legalization of gambling, it opened Bingo Alfil, the first bingo in the province of Malaga. In the 80's the company continued its development in the bingo sector and real estate development took on a more relevant role within the group.
In the 1990s and 2000s, the group focused its business on other business segments without leaving behind those that for years have been the backbone of the group, such as cinemas, bingo halls and real estate development. In Grupo Alfil's new approach, activities such as office and commercial leasing, parking, financial services and, of course, real estate development became more relevant.
In order to reinforce this last sector, in 2005, Grupo Alfil incorporated to its business group, through acquisition, a developer of the prestige and trajectory of Enrique Alemán SA. With this last acquisition, Grupo Alfil strategically positioned itself in Almeria, Malaga city and the Costa del Sol, where it has traditionally had a very prominent presence.
In 2022, Grupo Alfil decided to restructure the corporate group by integrating its real estate assets into a single company and joining the Socimi regime, with the subsequent incorporation to the market. In this way Alfil Patrimonial Socimi SA becomes the first listed company based in Marbella.
